My Pardus Days -4 Google Earth Installation and Google SKY

Hello friends, on the 4th of the days I spent in Pardus, I will tell you about the installation of the Google Earth program. First thing you need to do. Go to http://earth.google.com/ and download New! Explore the sky in Google Earth 4.2. The Google Earth website will automatically send you the file named GoogleEarthLinux.bin. We download the file. After downloading our file to the Desktop.

Opening the Terminal window and entering the directory in the Console

cd Desktop

.

sh GoogleEarthLinux.bin

Type the command and enter.

[email protected] Desktop $ sh GoogleEarthLinux.bin
Verifying archive integrity… All good.
Uncompressing Google Earth for GNU/ Linux 4.2.180.1134……..

After these articles appear, Google Earth Setup will open automatically.

As you can see above, We press the BEGIN INSTALL button on the installation screen and wait for Google Earth to finish the installation. After the installation is finished, the START button appears and the program opens.

The installation is finished. Now let’s come to the Google SKY feature..

SKY is Google’s Space images that you can use with Google Earth. In other words, while watching the world on Google Earth, you can watch the Galaxy with the SKY feature. You can watch the wonderful images of hundreds of thousands of stars and star clusters by activating the Google SKY feature.

To activate the Google SKY feature, you can activate the Swich to SKY option from the Viev menu.
