Blocking Ads in Android Apps

The tools used to block ads in Android applications generally remove the ads presented with banners, but the areas where the ads are placed in the application interface remain as empty pixels.. This is unquestionably frustrating.

The Xposed module called MinMinGuard, the work of XDA developer FatMinMin, can remove ads as well as solve the empty ad space issue.. Due to the nature of ad-blocking tools, this generally works well, although it may not be 100% positive in all cases.

You can set the tool to block annoying ads from certain apps.. So how can you install MinMinGuard? First of all, you need a rooted smartphone and the Xposed framework installed.. If you are new to these things, you may need to do some research, but if you have already met these conditions on your smartphone, it will be enough to follow the steps below. It’s pretty easy to block ads in Android apps.

Blocking Ads in Android Apps

Open the Xposed Installer app, tap the “Download” button, search for MinMinGuard. Tap the module’s card and go to the download page. Tap on the versions and use the “Download” button.

Install MinMinGuard just like any other app. But do not open after installed. Tap “Done” instead, return to the Xposed Installer page and put a checkmark for MinMinGuard. Then restart your device.

After your device restarts, open the app drawer and find the MinMinGuard app. If you can’t find it, open Xposed Installer, tap “Modules” and then tap MinMinGuard. This is how you can access and use the app. The fun begins now! Select the app whose ads you want to block. Instead, you can select all the apps and uncheck the apps you want their ads to stay on.. Finally go to “Settings”, check “Show system apps” option.

MinMinGuard is a great tool but maybe you will want to uninstall it. For this, open the Xposed Installer application, go to the “Modules” section and uncheck MinMinGuard. Then go to the “Applications” section in the “Settings” menu of the Android operating system and tap the “Uninstall” button in MinMinGuard. Restart your smartphone.
