Keyboardless, touchscreen phone coming from Nokia?

Teknoblog.com – Judging by the rumors, Nokia showed an advertisement for an unnamed next-gen product at its “Capital Markets Day” event held in Brooklyn last Thursday.

It’s hard to look at the phone in the photo and figure out what it is. The photo shows a device with a completely touchscreen-covered front and no buttons in sight. This mobile phone could break the chains of Nokia tradition and lead the company to stop using the regular keyboard and use a new generation of data entry method called Direct UI.

This ad compares the new mobile phone with its biggest potential competitor, Apple’s current iPhone, in several areas. It is not yet certain whether the advertisement in question heralds a product that will be released soon, or whether it is a prototype product. We hope the first one is correct.
