Perhaps you want to deploy a second webcam in addition to your existing one.. DroidCam comes in two parts, Google Play You need to download the application for free from and install the Windows and Linux compatible desktop client component from here.. First install the Android app. Then focus on your computer. After downloading the file, extract it from the archive, run the setup file, follow the steps that appear on the screen.
When you run it, you will be prompted to enter the IP address of your DroidCam. You can see this IP address and port number from the application you have installed on your smartphone.. When you look at the desktop client, you will notice that audio is also transferred from your phone; Low, medium and high image quality options are also available.
If you want to connect via USB, all you need is the cable that came out of the box of your smartphone.
After completing these processes, click on the “” button to start streaming. Click on “Start”. The mobile app will start transferring the image from your smartphone to your computer.. On smartphones with dual cameras, you can choose the camera via the “Settings” button.
There are some good features in the free version of DroidCam, but this version is not great.. You can only operate your webcam in landscape mode; There are various limitations on zoom, resolution, brightness and other commonly used options.. These can be controlled from the DroidCam desktop client, but they must be upgraded to the paid version of the app to be activated.. If you need these options, you can purchase the paid version, but if you don’t, the free version of the application will do the trick.
